Faces of Healthcare

From locals to professionals, people define health

Healthcare is universal, affecting all of us from medical professionals to the average person on the street. So when it comes to health, everyone has an opinion and an investment to see health improve. While healthcare problems may sometimes be country specific, many health issues are not bound by borders. I don’t believe their solutions need to be either.

With the rise of the internet and technology constantly evolving, global connections are more and more prevalent. Medical tourism is on the rise, and the first e-hospitals are challenging the way we approach care.

As a medical student and having worked as a Registered Nurse in both the USA and New Zealand, this has become more and more real to me. So now as I travel I want to ask health professionals and locals alike what health is to them. I want to put a face to healthcare, and ask the question: "how can we apply what we learn about health globally, to create better health locally?"
